Where our data comes from

We would rather tell you than have you guess.

Places

Names, addresses, positions, opening hours and phone numbers of places come from OpenStreetMap, the free map of the world made by volunteers. © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL): openstreetmap.org/copyright.

More venues

Some venues that the map does not know — escape rooms, bowling alleys, karaoke bars and the like — come from the open places data of the Overture Maps Foundation (overturemaps.org), which gathers data from Meta, Microsoft, Foursquare and others under the CDLA Permissive 2.0 and Apache 2.0 licences.

Venue websites

Where a venue has a website, our robot reads up to three of its pages once to find a contact address, the page where it takes bookings, and the prices it publishes. It introduces itself as VamosMoveBot, obeys robots.txt and never logs in anywhere. Prices found this way are marked as such on the venue’s page.

Pictures

Photos of places come from Wikimedia Commons, under free licences; the author and the licence are named under each photo. We never take pictures from a venue’s website. Venues can add their own.

Corrections and removal

A venue can correct or remove its page itself with its private link, or by writing to zyagency20@gmail.com. We remove a page within one working day.

Your city

The city a first visit opens in is worked out from your IP address with the free database of DB-IP (db-ip.com), licensed CC BY 4.0.
